Key elements in my video


  • Mise en scene - Vivid and vibrant colours to to conform to the pop genre and create an eccentric vibe and so it fits the narrative. Change the costumes in order to keep the interest of the audience. Use bright lighting to create a joyous vibe. 
  • Cast - Must resemble the looks of a 16-25 year old in order to meet one of the requirements on the brief which is "cross media production target audience is for fun loving 16-25 year old mass market demographic."
  • Cinematography - Include close up shots of the artist to convey the emotions and feelings and use specific camera shots such as long shots to showcase the artist's quirky style and few dance scenes that evoke the artist's bubbly persona and multi talented abilities. Finally, include medium close up shots and long shots of the artist alone wearing revealing close to convey her confidence.
  • Setting - Use popular and recognisable locations such as King's Cross Tunnel which is situated in London. Also use locations such as a parks which is a typical location for teenagers to hang out and can enable the audience to feel closer to the artist.
  • Intertexuality - Use intertexuality from popular 80s movies such as The Breakfast Club as it showcases a stereotypical representation of teenage life.
