Production roles

Producer:

In charge of the financial aspects of the video production 

Director:

Involved at every stage of the production process and ensures everyone carries out their tasks correctly. Held responsible for screen writing, creating a storyboard and casting.

Camera operator:

Shoots the actual video

Production designer:

Responsible for the visual concept of the music video. Identifies design style for sets, locations, props, lighting, camera angles and costumes. Therefore, they work very closely with the director and producer.

Casting agents:

Also choose people to cast in video.

Editor:

Responsible for assembling the raw materials into a finishing product that is suitable for broadcasting. Also focus on applying all necessary effects to the video.

Costume desginer:

Designs different costumes for the characters in the music video according to their roles. Costumes may be made, bought, revamped or rented.

Makeup artist:

Applies makeup to the characters featuring in the video, therefore, this enhances their appearance and hides or smooths out any flaws.

Prop manager:

Responsible for supervising, making and buying the props required for production.
